I don't update this very much do I? Sorry. I'm resolving to do better from now on. Hence!

Kate Atkinson, 'Case Histories.' )

Next, is probably John Simpson, 'My World, My Masters.' Thought I might try to get going again on Gregory Maguire's 'Lost.' Maybe.

12:52 pm - Books
Affinity, Sarah Waters

I liked this very much. I think it's my favourite of her books. The ending... )

Midnight, Jacqueline Wilson

Very creepy and magical. Um. Nothing else to say really. Except that I really like Jacquline Wilson's books.

A Series of Unfortunate Events: Bad Beginings, Lemony Snicket

Why did I wait so long to read these books? They're ever so good. Or the first one was. A great, creepy villian, the oblivious adults (I especially liked) ) But very good, will defiantely find the other 5(?) books and watch the film at some point, which is currently sitting on my shelf.

4:59 pm - BOOK: Strange Places, Questionable People (John Simpson)
Have I finished a book? Don't die of shock. :P (Actually I have finished some, just not updated this journal, oops.)

Actually, it was because I was reading this one. It's one of those books that have to put down and walk away from even now and then because it all gets a bit harrowing because it's real. Also, I tend to struggle a bit more with non-fiction books anyway.

It's very good though, in between the haunting bits there are some funny stories and interesting insights. I liked teeny tiny spoiler )

I have the second book, but I might leave it for a little while and finish all the other books I'm halfway through atm first.

I don't have my John Simpson icon on this account. Shocking! ;)

1:46 am - FIC: Tie-Breaker (RPS:HIGNFY, Ian/Paul/Angus, PG)
Title: Tie-Breaker
Rating: PG
Fandom: HIGNFY
Spoilers: Spoilers for the episode of 4/5/05.
Summary: It was left as a draw. This causes a few problems.
Author's Notes: Written rather quickly. Originally for the challenge on [info]100gloves, but then it got too long.

Despite his instance that it was still breaking and entering, seeing how Paul had stolen the key in the first place, Ian found himself standing at the end of Angus' bed... )
